Martin Custom Shop Model 0 12-Fret Slot-Head with Koa Top, Back and Sides On a recent visit our Martin sales representative brought along this titillating temptress of a guitar which clearly proved irresistible. We were all so smitten by its gorgeous appearance, surprisingly husky voice and smooth playability that the idea of allowing it to leave the shop with him was untenable. Thus, with our emotions taking precedence over our reason, we acted. We now have it, and we are much happier for it. In addition to the exotic Figured koa used for the top, back and sides, this Martin custom shop original exhibits many other fine features including: Madagascar rosewood body binding, head plate, heel cap, and end piece; ebony fingerboard with three abalone position markers and ivoriod side dots; ebony bridge; ebony bridge pins and end pin with ivoriod dots; satin finished modified V shaped mahogany neck with 1 13/16" width bone nut; 16" radius drop-in straightline long bone saddle; Old Style 18 rosette; 1/4" scalloped Sitka spruce top braces; and Waverly nickle tuning machines with ivoroid keys. And some case candy includes a packet with the quote sheet and a koa coaster made from the soundhole cutout. This guitar includes a custom Geib style archtop hardshell case as well. It features a unique textured exterior finish with a silver stitched monogram of the Martin logo on the body of the case. The interior is black velvet, and extra protection for the guitar is provided in the form of a monogramed custom black satin/velvet cover to place over the cased instrument.
