Collings Guitars USED D1ASB 2013 Dreadnought with Mahogany and Adirondack Spruce Top with Western Shaded Sunburst

We are excited to have this D1A in our shop, because playing it is a truly unique and satisfying experience. Clarity. Precision. Tone. These are just a few words that immediately come to mind when describing this exceptional instrument. Tonally, it is absolutely piano like - bass notes have unbelievable punch while the midrange and treble notes shimmer and seem to leap out of the guitar. And, it is a loud guitar! For flatpickers who dream of a guitar with headroom to spare, this dynamic instrument could be the stuff of your dreams.

Complementing its aural allure is a visual aesthetic that is equally striking. Its Adirondack spruce top features one of the most tastefully executed bursts we’ve seen, and combined with Collings’ perfectly clean lines and superb finish this guitar is wonderful for its exquisite simplicity.

Finally, it is not too surprising that this used guitar (perhaps pre-owned is more apt) is in such remarkable, near pristine condition, as the former owner confessed to us that this instrument actually spent most of its life in its case! Regardless, this splendid D1A is an instrument that will not just fulfill the dreams of flatpickers, but those of players of many other styles as well.

This guitar includes a deluxe Cedar Creek archtop hardshell case.
