Goodall, James: MP-14

(Item ID: MP-14    Serial#: MP-14 2508)

James Goodall Guitars MP-14 2001 Custom Parlor with Red Cedar Top and Flamed Maple Back and Sides

Dazzling in both appearance and sound, Goodall’s impeccable craftsmanship and artistry are clearly on display in this splendid little guitar. One is immediately struck by its sumptuous appearance which excites the eye with the lively figure and succulent, caramel hue of its premium Flamed maple back and sides, which, like a harmonious counterpoint, is perfectly balanced by the smooth warmth of its Western Red cedar top. Moreover, each component of this guitar is highlighted and crisply defined by the use of Curly Hawaiian Koa binding which serves to frame one's attention on each unique detail of its construction thus engendering a deep satisfaction simply appreciating the high quality of each. Really, it could be enough to own this guitar just to look at it, however, we expect that one will be equally impressed by the fine sound of this instrument. Not only is its voice surprising big and firm for a small guitar, it is imbued with the beautiful bloom and sustain that is characteristic of Goodall guitars - it sings! In consideration of these fine attributes, we think that this guitar is not only a beautiful work of art, but a treasure for musical inspiration that can be passed down to future generations.
