Special features of the Traditional Series guitars, which are inspired by classic acoustic guitar designs, include: all solid wood construction with hand-carved scalloped braces, forward shifted X-brace, dovetail neck joint, and hand polished nitrocellulose finish. The E6D-TC is Eastman’s fine take on a vintage Dreadnought. The star of the show is the “Thermo-cured” or torrified Sitka Spruce top, which simulates the process of decades of aging, that yields a sweeter, drier voice. This top combined with the mahogany back and sides, yields a clear and punchy response, with slightly more prominent midrange. Though quite versatile in general, the E6D-TC is a fantastic rhythm or lead guitar.
