A Pre-War style Dreadnought is what some might consider a masterpiece of understatement.  Typically lightly built and with Spartan appointments, one would often wind up with a lightly braced, remarkably resonant instrument that historically was better than the sum of its parts.  In the case of a Santa Cruz Pre War Style, it is as though the great luthiers at Santa Cruz have reverse engineered what made the originals so transcendent, and married these features with the reliability of modern construction techniques and materials.   This approach provides a player with a historically accurate piece intentionally built to be an heirloom worthy of its antiquated kin. 

Possessing a voice that is deep, rich and articulate, this Dreadnought would be an excellent additional to the arsenal of an accomplished flatpicker, but would be equally at home in the hands of players of folk or Americana, or even any strummer desirous of incredible depth of tone, with a voice that will lay a strong foundation, while still cutting through a mix.
