We have long considered the AC65 and its previous iterations (e.g., AC60S, AC460, etc.) to be one of the best values in the Alvarez line, and indeed one of the best entry-level classical guitars on the market. Featuring a solid cedar top, the AC65 offers a more dynamic response than less-expensive all-laminate construction models. Additionally, the solid top contributes additional warmth and body to the note, as well as fundamentally more complex and nuanced voice. All in all, this guitar is competitive with instruments that are more expensive and it is a hard option to beat within its price point.
