This stripped-back Bobcat Special electric guitar from Anderson embodies all of the same perks as the standard Bobcat. Incredible playability, a pleasing sound and simple yet beautiful aesthetics all combine to make a world-class guitar. An all-mahogany body provides the resonance and sustain that we have come to know and love from other solid-body electric guitars. Said body is contoured nicely and provides a very comfortable base upon which to hold and handle the instrument. Coupled with a semi-gloss neck, this guitar feels as good as it sounds.

The Novel 90 pickups that were installed in this guitar give it the illustrious response and clarity associated with P90 pickups without the need to modify the structure of the guitar in any way. Novel 90 pickups are sized like a humbucker, such that they can simply be placed in the same cavity as the original pickups. These Lollar pickups give the guitar an added edge of midrange definition that works very well with its mahogany body.

NOTE: The original pickups in this guitar were switched out with the aforementioned Jason Lollar Novel 90s. The guitar still has a 3-position toggle switch as well as knobs for volume and tone. It is important to note that the original Anderson HC1 and HC2 pickups are neatly boxed up and included in the case. The original Anderson wiring harness, complete with 3-way “Big Toggle” and 2 knob-push/pull switching is also included, in case the eventual buyer wishes to restore the guitar to its original state. There are some cracks forming on the pickup rings as well that were most likely formed during the switching out of the original pickups. All things considered, we rate this guitar as EXCELLENT condition.
